Issam Kourbaj: Urgent Archive
2 March - 26 May 2024Since 2011 Issam Kourbaj’s artwork has responded to the ongoing conflict in Syria, and reflects on the suffering of his fellow Syrians and the destruction of his cultural heritage. This exhibition presents key works from this period alongside a new series which explores themes of loss, memory and renewal.

Agenda Project 1: Yevheniia Laptii
We are pleased to present a new project 'Agenda', which sees a singular artwork presented on the second floor of Kettle's Yard responding to the contemporary moment. The first iteration of the project will display the photograph Deti (2023) by Ukrainian photographer Yevheniia Laptii.
In Conversation: Vicken Parsons
Celebrating a new book about the artist and her work, with an In Conversation with Charlotte Mullins, followed by a drinks reception.
Cultures of Conflict Concert: Kristýna Farag and Marwan Alsolaiman
Join us for a musical response to the themes explored in our current exhibition Issam Kourbaj: Urgent Archive, with musicians Kristýna Farag (voice, flute, daf) and Marwan Alsolaiman (oud, voice, nay) in the Kettle’s Yard house.
