Music has always been played at Kettle’s Yard. There are two pianos in the House at Kettle’s Yard and when it was a home to Jim and Helen Ede they used to hold small concerts.

Our ticket prices are kept low thanks to the endowment left by our founder Jim Ede for Kettle’s Yard Thursday Evening Chamber Music Series. However this only supports a small part of our programme and we need your help to continue to support emerging artists and composers, and continue to provide world class performances as part of the Music at Kettle’s Yard programme.

Please donate to support Music at Kettle’s Yard here

If you would like to discuss your gift further or are interested in supporting a specific part of the programme please contact: – telephone 01223 748100

Programming music

Justin Lee is the programmer for the chamber music series and Kate Whitley is the new music programmer. If you have a concert proposal please send it to with either of their names in the subject line and we will forward the proposal on.

Please note that we programme quite far ahead of time and we receive a large number of proposals so we are not always able to respond to submissions.
