Music has always been played at Kettle’s Yard. There are two pianos in the House at Kettle’s Yard and when it was a home to Jim and Helen Ede they used to hold small concerts. While Kettle’s Yard is closed for our major building project we are holding concerts in the Old Divinity School at St John’s College in Cambridge.
Our artist-in-residence this year is the award winning violinist Tamsin Waley-Cohen, who will perform four concerts for us, two of which will be with her long running collaborator Huw Watkins. Further highlights include classics from the chamber music repertoire such as Beethoven’s ‘Moonlight’ Sonata performed by Boris Giltburg and the Ruisi Quartet playing the ‘Dissonance’ Quartet by Mozart.
For regular updates about the concert series please sign up to receive our emails.

While we are closed we will take a break from the New Music and Student music series while we work on these important strands of music at Kettle’s Yard ready for our re-opening.
Our ticket prices are kept low thanks to the endowment left by our founder Jim Ede for Kettle’s Yard Thursday Evening Chamber Music Series. However this only supports a small part of our programme and we need your help to continue to support emerging artists and composers, and continue to provide world class performances as part of the Music at Kettle’s Yard programme.

Justin Lee is the programmer for the chamber music series at Kettle’s Yard. If you have a concert proposal please send it to email@example.com and we will forward the proposal to him. Please note that we programme quite far ahead of time and we receive a large number of proposals so we are not always able to respond to submissions.
