The builders are now in the process of creating the site compound at Kettle’s Yard – the area which the builders will then occupy throughout the building project.  Soon the Castle Street footpath in front of Kettle’s Yard will be closed to the public with hoardings covering the area so that the building is secure. Visitors will still be able to get into St Peter’s Church.

In other news, the Horizons exhibition at Jerwood Gallery in Hastings closed on 3 January, we had reports of many visitors enjoying the exhibition, some discovering the Kettle’s Yard collection for the first time and others enjoying seeing the artworks on holiday, there were nearly 11,000 visitors to the exhibition.

We are now preparing for several major off site projects in 2016 including an exhibition at Hepworth Wakefield from May and a series of events and exhibitions around Cambridge to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the gift of Kettle’s Yard to the University of Cambridge.
