6 December 2018

Since our reopening in February of this year we have had the opportunity to work with many contemporary artists on exciting projects. Currently, at the Kettle’s Yard shop we have three limited edition artists prints for sale that have come from artists involved in our exhibition programme this year.

Melanie Manchot and Callum Innes were included in our opening exhibition Actions. The image of the world can be different. Antony Gormley’s exhibition SUBJECT was here in Summer 2018 and was the busiest exhibition in the history of Kettle’s Yard. We are delighted to share the below prints by all three artists, which are currently on display in our shop.

For further information and to purchase a print call us on 01223 748100 or email the shop:

Melanie Manchot

The Ladies (King’s Dining Hall), 2017

Digital c-print
Edition of 30
Signed and numbered by the artist
Mounted in an oak frame, with low reflection glass
Size 52 x 35cm

Price £295 (includes frame)
P&P (within UK) £25

This framed limited edition digital print has been produced by Kettle’s Yard in close collaboration with the artist. The original work was commissioned by Kettle’s Yard for the exhibition Actions. The image of the world can be different, 10th February to 2nd April 2018.

During 2017, Manchot worked with a group of Bangladeshi women (‘the Ladies’), who live in Cambridge, to make a series of photographs in iconic settings, including the neo-Gothic Dining Hall at King’s College.

“The women’s obvious camaraderie overwhelms the obvious incongruity of the settings, bestowing each scene with a quality of grace and comfort familiar from Vermeer paintings of women in interiors. These sensitive and vivid tableaux result from Melanie Manchot’s skill in inspiring trust in her subjects… ” – Sarah Lowndes, in her essay for the Actions book (price £19.95).

There are only 30 copies of this limited edition print which are all signed and numbered by the artist and they are mounted in an oak frame.

Callum Innes
KYC, 2018

Three colour lithograph printed from three stones
Edition of 20
Fabriano Artistico 300gsm paper

£495 (unframed)

£595 (includes frame
P&P on request

Hand-printed in a limited edition at Edinburgh Printmakers, KYC has been created especially for Kettle’s Yard by internationally acclaimed artist Callum Innes.

A selection of Innes’ watercolours were on display at Kettle’s Yard in 2018 as part of Actions. The image of the world can be different.

For this print, Innes used watercolour paintings as a starting point, painting directly onto the surface of several lithographic stones with ink wash, then painting with acid-gum etches to lighten or remove areas. The print was then realised through a period of trial proofing, reworking and playful overprinting to arrive at the finished work.

This is a limited edition of only 20 prints, sold exclusively in store at Kettle’s Yard or over the phone.

Following his solo show, Antony Gormley SUBJECT, at Kettle’s Yard in Summer 2018, we are delighted to be selling two prints by the artist.  These prints relate in many ways to the themes explored in ‘SUBJECT’, especially in their activation of space and horizon. Both prints are a result of collaborations with Edition Copenhagen.

Both prints come framed.
