Want to know more about Circuit? Then read our Q&A with Lou, a previous member of Circuit

What is Circuit?
A group of 18-25 year olds who live in and around Cambridge, who plan events and workshops for others in the same age group.

Do you have to any experience to join the group?
NOPE, just an interest in the arts.

What happens at Circuit meetings?
We meet artists and discuss ideas for projects.

Where do you meet up?
At Wysing Arts Centre, or in a café in Cambridge (while Kettle’s Yard is closed).

How much does it cost?
It’s completely free to join.

Do you get to make art?
Yes, not at every session, but there is a lot of scope to expand or gain artistic skills.

What’s the best bit about being a member of Circuit?
I’ve gained new skills, met and worked with inspiring artists and other creative people, and had the chance to plan and develop projects from start to finish.

What are Circuit Socials?
Open events with workshops, food and music, which act as both a regular offer for the public, and a fun break for the group from developing projects.

What events have you put on in the past?
A film screening, talks, a one-day arts festival in Cambridge and we took over Kettle’s Yard gallery and spray painted the walls (the builders were moving in the next day….)

What has been your favourite project?
Definitely devising and leading an alternative tour of Cambridge as part of the Circuit Unlock Cambridge Festival.

What 3 words would you use to describe Circuit?
Inspiring, experimental, creative

How do I join the group?
By contacting circuit@wysingartscentre.org or calling 01954 718881.
