What is Circuit: Unlock Cambridge?

For one day only take part in workshops, pop up events and performances around Cambridge. Circuit: Unlock Cambridge is a free festival for 15-25 year olds; organised by young people for young people.

Activities on the day will happen at several city centre locations. 

ALL WELCOME, ALL FREE!

Just announced: the secret location for the closing party is GREAT ST MARY’S CHURCH in Market Square. See Great St Mary’s as you’ve never seen it before transformed with music, dance, art, projections & enjoy a tower view of Cambridge.

Complaints Choir
Give us your grumbles and hear it become a song.

We’ve been working with poet & rapper Inja to turn your complaints about Cambridge into a song. Musically, Inja works with hiphop, drum n bass, dubstep and grime and has toured all over the the world.

Alternative Tours

Take a tour and unlock spaces of Cambridge – expect the unexpected

Join Circuit guides for a tour into hidden, unknown spaces and find out what lies behind the high walls and locked doors in Cambridge. Hear local tales, secret stories and prepare to expect the unexpected! Alternative Tours have been developed by young people from Circuit, with support from artists Anna Brownsted and Ellie Stamp. Please note certain parts of the Alternative Tour are not wheelchair accessible. If you are a wheelchair user and would like to go on the tour, please contact us on 01223 748100 or speak to a member of staff on the day so we can make arrangements for you to go on the tour.

Make an imagined city
Create a model of an ideal Cambridge

You are invited to make an imagined model city of Cambridge. What would you add to make a more vibrant city? Add your ideas and watch the model change throughout the day. This creative workshop has been devised by members of Circuit, with support from artist Georgie Manly.

Closing Party
An evening of pop up events with artworks, projections and performances plus see an alternative view of Cambridge through photography and film. Download the closing party programme here
