A talk about Gaudier-Brzeska’s life by Dr Evelyn Silber, author of the Gaudier-Brzeska catalogue raisonné, followed by a screening of the Ken Russell film Savage Messiah (1972), which immortalised the artist.

 

This event is part of the Gaudier-Brzeska Centenary weekend Friday 5–Sunday 7 June, a special weekend of events to celebrate the life and work of Gaudier-Brzeska who was killed in action fighting in France at the age of 23 on 5 June 1915.
