Weekly lunch club at St Georges Church, 2014, Katherine Green

Katherine Green and North Cambridge Girls Group

The community portraits will be on display around North Cambridge from 18 October – 8 November

Social documentary photographer Katherine Green and the North Cambridge Girls Group have been photographing their community and experiences. At the same time, Katherine Green has been interviewing and taking portraits of some of the long term residents and community leaders from the area. The exhibition will feature Katherine’s photographs, the Girls Groups’ images and photographs donated by the community of Arbury Carnival, a community-run event established in 1977 which takes place annually, and is a wonderful example of what this community can achieve. The resulting exhibition celebrates this vibrant and welcoming part of the city.
