Open Day

Drop in between 11am-4pm to explore the new Maxwell building and art exhibition Into Boundless Space I Leap. Activities on the day include:

– Architecture, Lab, Cavendish Museum and exhibition tours
– Camera Obscura and Light Graffiti family workshops
– Bite size talks on DNA origami, Nanotechnology, Superconductivity and much more
– Jenga and Build a Crane activities
– Science and 3D printing demonstrations

How to get there

The Maxwell Centre is a ten minute cycle ride or a 30 minute walk from the city centre and is on the Citi 4 bus route, the bus stops on JJ Thomson Avenue.

We recommend the blue route if you are walking or cycling:

Free parking is available in Car Park 8 at the end of Charles Babbage Road. Parking is also available at Madingley Road Park and Ride, which is a ten minute walk away.
