HEAD OF OPERATIONS
Salary range: £33,230 - £44,607
Kettle's Yard is seeking to appoint a Head of Operations to play a key role in the future of the organisation.
Kettle's Yard is the University of Cambridge's modern and contemporary art gallery. Opened in 1956, Kettle's Yard has a national and international reputation for its remarkable collection of 20th Century British and European art, alongside an innovative programme of temporary exhibitions, educational activities and concerts, including new music.
Kettle's Yard is going through a period of change with plans to create a new education wing, remodel the exhibition galleries and offer enhanced facilities for visitors. It is also actively pursuing new partnerships, including working closely with the other University of Cambridge Museums within a major programme supported by Arts Council England.
Reporting to the Director, the Head of Operations will a key member of the new Senior Management team at Kettle's Yard having responsibility for all aspects of the operational running of Kettle's Yard including finance, business planning, site management, security, HR and income generation. The successful applicant will have responsibility for liaison with other parts of the University administration including Estate Management in relation to the proposed capital plans. He/she will contribute to strategic planning and the development of key policies and plans.
The successful applicant will have proven experience and ability in strategic and operational management, managing staff and resources in a relevant environment. He/she will be an engaging leader who can inspire and manage a creative and operations team, together with an ability to problem solve a range of issues.
