Kettle’s Yard, University of Cambridge, is seeking to appoint a Communications and Events Assistant to assist the Head of Communications in the promotion of Kettle's Yard and all its activities and to facilitate the running of the concert series at Kettle's Yard.
Kettle’s Yard, is the University of Cambridge’s modern and contemporary art gallery. It combines a house with a permanent collection of 20th century British and European art, with a gallery presenting exhibitions of modern and contemporary art. It also runs extensive music and education programmes.
Reporting to the Head of Communications, the successful applicant will assist with the promotion of its various activities using the appropriate communication channels. He/she will also support the Head of Communications to maintain and grow the profile and reputation of Kettle's Yard through media relations and effective marketing strategies encompassing digital and traditional communication channels. He/she will consider innovative ways to reach new and current audiences.
The successful applicant will facilitate and ensure the smooth running of the concert series at Kettle's Yard including managing front of house and behind the scenes. He/she, with the Kettle’s Yard team, will support the smooth running of the office and public events at Kettle's Yard.
You will have a good first degree in an arts based subject, an enthusiasm for the visual arts and interest in working in communications in an arts organisation.
