Youth Arts Programme Manager
Hours: Part Time, 22.5 hours per week
Salary: £26,000 pro rata
Limit of Tenure: Fixed Term to March 2017
Wysing Arts Centre and Kettle’s Yard have an exciting opportunity for a Youth Arts Project Programme Manager. The CIRCUIT Progamme Manager will work across both organisations in collaboration with artists and young people, building relationships with the Cambridge gaming industry and community organisations, and will be responsible for developing and coordinating an exciting 4 year programme of activity.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, driven by an interest in the relevance of the arts to the lives of young people, have experience of developing successful partnerships with youth, arts and community organisations and local employers, and the ability to deliver high profile events at a national level. Excellent project management, communication and advocacy skills are essential.
Kettle’s Yard and Wysing Arts Centre are both key Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisations in the east of England, and members of the Plus Tate network. Through Plus Tate, Wysing Arts Centre and Kettle’s Yard have secured funding from Paul Hamlyn Foundation for the CIRCUIT Youth Arts Programme, which forms part of a national Youth Arts Network being developed by visual arts organisations across the UK.
This post will be employed by Wysing Arts Centre but will work across both sites to programme activity.
