Visiting Kettle’s Yard is FREE and you can choose from a variety of different activities and types of visits to suit your needs. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings are set aside exclusively for schools, academies, colleges and universities. Self-led visits during regular opening hours can also be booked in advance.

Types of Visit

Self-led visit: FREE

Introductory Tour and drawing activities: FREE to all UK-based state schools*

Artist-led workshop: from £125 per class for a two-hour workshop

Full day Kettle’s Yard experience with two artist-led workshops: from £250

We tailor every visit and workshop to fit your requirements, and are always willing to provide additional access support.

*Please note, if your school charges a fee, e.g. private schools or language schools, we charge £50 for an introductory tour with drawing activities

Booking a Visit

It is essential to book any group visit in advance (including self-led groups). To do this please send a completed Expression of Interest Form (see left) to

We will then get in touch to discuss your visit further and subsequently send a booking confirmation with final details. Please note – submitting an expression of interest form does not guarantee your booking!

We have a range of resources for teachers including artist and exhibition teachers’ packs.

Teachers’ Programme

We offer a range of activities to support teachers make the most of Kettle’s Yard. This includes introductory tours for new exhibitions and a regular programme of workshops and activities to inspire your own practice and support you to bring new ideas into the classroom.

Our galleries and education wing are fully wheelchair accessible, and the house is partially wheelchair accessible. For more information, please see Access .
