Volunteers play an essential part in the everyday workings of Kettle’s Yard and are vital to the success of the organisation. Volunteers enable us to draw on a wide pool of skills gained from professional and personal experience that enriches and adds value to our work.
We offer a range of volunteer roles across all activities and departments, as well as providing specialist training when relevant. Volunteering at Kettle’s Yard offers individuals the opportunity to gain valuable experience and learn a range of new skills, useful for future employment in a range of sectors. Volunteering is also a great way to meet new people in Cambridge and to support current activity at Kettle’s Yard.
Currently we are not recruiting for volunteers, but if you would like to register your interest, please fill out the online form and we will keep you updated with news of future opportunities.
Our next call for volunteers will take place in Autumn, so please check this page later this year for details of how to apply.
There are many volunteering opportunities advertised through the University of Cambridge Get Involved pages, which are a valuable source of information for anyone wishing to obtain experience in the museum sector.
We are currently unable to offer internships but occasionally use volunteers to work one or two days a week on longer-term projects.
