Watch this interview with our New Music Curator Tom McKinney to find out what to expect from the series he has programmed for Kettle’s Yard.

We are delighted to announce our full New Music concert series for the 2020 season. We are hosting an exciting line up of New Music performers. The opening concert of the series will be ‘The Fabric of Music: Aisha Orazbayeva, violin and Mark Knoop, piano’ on 23 January 2020. Aisha and Mark will perform an exciting programme including John Cage and Morton Feldman. We will also be hearing from: the Solem Quartet, 12 March; Juliet Fraser, 2 April; and Philip Thomas, 30 April, before finishing the series with Kathryn Williams and the musical collective Bastard Assignments on 11 June.

“within these five concerts you’ll hear music that will affect you in many ways; there’s beauty and ferocity, simplicity and virtuosity.” – Tom McKinney
