Liz Ballard Assistant Curator, Community Programme
Working at the wonderful Kettle’s Yard, especially on the new Open House project, is really exciting and I’m very pleased to be here! Since I started in late October I have been settling in to life at Kettle’s Yard through attending lunchtime talks and concerts, which have been so inspiring, as well as visiting the other University of Cambridge Museums. Everyone has been very welcoming and friendly, and I’ve also been meeting members of the community in Arbury and Kings Hedges and learning more about the area, which has been very interesting. I can’t wait to get stuck in!
Open House is a key part of Kettle’s Yard’s artistic programme funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, which aims to establish a long-term creative partnership with our neighbours in north Cambridge, initially through a three-year collaboration.
