Join botanical artist Amber Halsall for an online workshop to draw, in detail, a selection of objects foraged from nature using graphite pencil.
In this workshop you will be looking closely at your found objects to accurately recreate the depth, detail and texture of the subject. You will explore how to portray subjects using a variety of mark making and blending techniques to create realistic tonal studies. Regular demonstrations will guide you through every stage of the process.

Amber Halsall is a contemporary botanical artist working in a variety of media. She is a member of the Society of Botanical Artists and Assoc Member of the Society of Graphic Fine Art. Inspired by botanical subjects often with a contemporary twist, Amber is an experienced tutor and holds regular workshops both in person and online. The workshop will be conducted via Zoom so please make sure you have an account and can join for the time required – you will be sent a link to join in advance.

The cancellation is effective from the date that your written confirmation is received and unfortunately, we cannot issue a refund unless the event is cancelled by us. Kettle’s Yard reserves the right to alter any part of the programme if necessary. We will only cancel courses after careful consideration, but reserve the right to do so under exceptional circumstances. In the event of a cancellation, participants will be informed in writing as soon as possible and course fees will be refunded in full. Should you need to cancel because you have symptoms of COVID 19 we will refund you in full.
Prices are inclusive of any applicable taxes and there are no surcharges whatsoever. Prices displayed on the website are subject to change without prior notice and are correct at the time of going to press. Once you have paid we will not increase the price of your ticket. Kettle’s Yard reserves the right to cancel the workshop with short notice if Government guidelines change, a full refund will be made.
No ticket may be resold or transferred.
