Join printmaker Molly Mahon for a one-day workshop at Kettle’s Yard looking at block printing and making your own cushion cover.

Experience the joy of block print with Molly Mahon in this workshop at Kettle’s Yard.  The day-long course will include a private tour of Kettle’s Yard, followed by an introduction to block printing by Molly. Using Molly’s carved wooden blocks, you will experiment with colour and pattern and finish by printing your own 60cm x 40cm cushion.  The price includes all materials, refreshments and a delicious lunch.

This workshop is supported using public funding by Arts Council England.

Government advice regarding social distancing and face masks that applies at the time of the event will be followed.

About Molly Mahon

Based in Sussex, Molly Mahon is a British printmaker whose block print originals are applied to fabrics, wallpapers and a growing range of homewares.  Molly’s work is inspired by nature, her travels to India and things that she notices in her daily life. Access

The Clore Learning Studio is fully accessible. It can be reached by stairs or by lift, to the basement -1 floor. There is an accessible toilet with baby changing facilities in the basement beside the Learning Studio. There are more toilets and facilities on the ground and first floors. The making part of the workshop will take place in the Clore Learning Studio.

The House is not fully accessible and includes a spiral staircase in the cottage and other stepped levels. The extension to the House is fully accessible and we are happy to accommodate all visitors wishing to join.

Tickets are non-refundable.

If you need to cancel your booking, please inform us in writing as soon as possible at susy@kettlesyard.cam.ac.uk

No ticket may be resold or transferred.

We ask that you let us know at time of booking, of any allergy or food intolerance, and any dietary requirements.

Kettle’s Yard reserves the right to alter any part of the programme if necessary. We will only cancel courses after careful consideration, but reserve the right to do so under exceptional circumstances, including Covid-19 related restrictions. In the event of a cancellation, participants will be informed in writing as soon as possible and course fees will be refunded in full.
