Private Guided House Tour

Join us for an exciting opportunity to experience the Kettle’s Yard House before we open to the public. Your group will have a private, in depth experience with one of our knowledgeable Visitor Assistants, as they guide you through the House, telling you more about the history of Kettle’s Yard and some of the objects and artworks on display.

Each ticket covers up to 6 people from a private group.

The House is not fully accessible and this tour includes climbing the spiral staircase in the cottage as well as crossing several other stepped levels. The extension to the House is fully accessible and we are happy to accommodate all visitors wishing to join us on a guided tour. If you wish to book an accessible guided tour we ask that you contact us in advance of booking. Please call 01223 748100 or email to discuss this with us and to find out more.

The galleries are fully accessible.

Important information for your visit

  • Your ticket covers up to six people. You will be the only group on the tour.
  • If you are not well please stay at home and cancel you ticket so that it can be made available to someone else.

  • In keeping with government advice you must wear a face mask or face covering for the duration of the tour unless you are exempt. You can find out more about exemptions here.
  • Due to conservation and security reasons, no bags, including handbags, or large coats are allowed in the House. Please leave bags at home where possible. If you do bring a bag it will be kept behind the desk until your House visit is complete.

  • No food or drink are allowed in the House and galleries.
  • Photography is encouraged but we ask that you do not use flash. Commercial photography and filming is not allowed unless advance permission is given.
  • Children who will be carried do not need a ticket. Please note that the House is not suitable for buggies.
