About the workshop

Shibori is the Japanese term for a variety of ways of embellishing textiles by shaping cloth and securing it before dyeing. During this workshop you will learn ways creating pattern using Shibori techniques and dyeing sustainably. Under Ekta’s gentle guidance you will learn ways of creating pattern through exploring a range of stitched shibori techniques. We will dye with a natural dye which does not need a mordant or any specialist equipment.

The number of participants is restricted to a small group to ensure all students have ample time to get individual feedback. You will need access to a laptop/tablet with a camera and microphone.

This class is open to beginners and available with materials or without materials.
