From early years to higher education

Kettle’s Yard offers a range of ways to inspire your students and enrich your teaching.

Although we are not currently taking bookings for in-person visits, we have developed a number of blended learning options which span the house and galleries.

Schools Video – An Interactive Introduction to Kettle’s Yard

Our 55-minute-long schools video invites you to explore Kettle’s Yard through looking, talking and responding creatively. There are lots of moments for in-class or at home interaction. Find out more and watch the film here.

Virtual Tours

We offer tailor-made digital tours that can be adapted for every age and setting. These hour-long sessions include a virtual guided visit and plenty of in-class activities and interaction.

Example sessions include:

  • An introduction to Kettle’s Yard
  • Themed visits – Light, Nature or Space
  • Alfred Wallis
  • Arts Award Discover, Explore and Bronze
  • Custom university sessions for a range of courses, including fine art, architecture, design, fashion, and more

To find out more or book a session please get in touch on learning@kettlesyard.cam.ac.uk

Online Artist-Led Workshops

We can link our virtual tours with a practical online workshop led by one of our fantastic Artist Facilitators. These workshops will use basic materials and the content would be agreed with schools in advance so that students and staff get the best experience.

To discuss this more, please get in touch on learning@kettlesyard.cam.ac.uk

Visits to your school

Why don’t we come to you? We have some availability for members of the learning team to visit schools in the Cambridge area to give presentations or assemblies, lead discussions and run practical workshops. These sessions are available on a range of topics, and can take place on Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays.

To find out more or book an off-site visit please get in touch on learning@kettlesyard.cam.ac.uk

Learning Resources

We have a number of learning resources for teachers including artist and exhibition teachers’ packs and a virtual tour of the House.
