My work operates in the spaces created between performance, film and drawing in a constant, cyclical and creative process. As part of an overreaching desire to probe the mechanisms of personal and public relationships, I create feature films, spontaneous performances, theatrical plays, costumes, site-specific works and drawings. The spaces of flux between artworks and the act of translation from one media to another are important to my practice, nurturing a space of spontaneity. From these slippages and unresolved moments that mix history, fiction and the internal the art comes into being. Through my practice, I seek to complicate and confuse rather than answer or resolve, to open up avenues for exploration through making and doing: magic through physicality.

‘The Cambridge Show’ brings together work by twenty-two artists who live or work in and around Cambridge. Showcasing a cross-section of the artistic community operating in the local area, from photography to performance, the exhibition will explore these artists’ diverse practices, and some of the themes and issues that they are engaging with right now.
